Lots of work and some play

Photo blog entry... it's easier that way.

Napping in my favorite corner of the deck.
A view of my filthy paw.
Rub my tummy.
A puppy can be good only for so long.
Time to nibble my human sister.
Technically speaking, I'm not on the couch.
Stretching out in my custom fort.
Curled up in my fort.
It's great when the people do yard work.
I got a new coconut tree leaf.
I love my sister.
... and napping on the rug while its drying.
The evidence that I'm in the tub.
What??
You knew I was in here so why must you disturb me to check?
I found this ratty (American) football in the yard.
I love to chew the laces.
Did I hear my name?
I found a wood scrap to chew, but I must protect my football at the same time.
Some call me greedy.
March 15th, I went to work with my dad.
I'm joining a meeting of Wolfhounds - B Co., 2/27
2/27 got some junky digs for their "new" offices. The building is stuffed full of their stuff in no particular order. In the stuff, we found this picture given to "B Coy" (B Company) 2/27 IN from The Royal Australian Regiment. My American mom took this picture for my Aussie mom and other Aussie Borzoi folks.
I'm meeting the FRSA (Family Readiness Support Assistant) for 1/27.
She's nice.
I'm sitting hopefully for a treat.
Didn't work.
at 1/27
Meeting more Wolfhounds.
Gotta give each soldier a sniff.
HELLO, CSM Higgs!!
He's never too busy for his Kolchak.
Relaxing on the cool floor.
Getting to meet LTC Fox.
CSM Higgs is off the phone and petting me. Good choice.
Wolfhound with Wolfhounds.
The best part of my job.
CSM Higgs introducing me to more soldiers.
Many people pull out their phones to get a photo of me.
Getting pet by lots of people is my idea of a great job.
Company, ATTENTION!
(COL Kolchak is in the hoooouuuuuse.
Remember, I'm one rank higher than my handler.)
LTC Fox giving me a good rub for all this people meeting.
Hello. Where are your eyes? And can I sniff you?
Soldiers are everywhere.
Time to inspect weapons.
Which one for my next chew toy?
Decisions, decisions.
All those chew toys, but I'm more of a people person.
Male bonding time.
On the giant Wolfhound logo with my friends.
Long day. I napped even in Dad's filthy, smelly "new" office.
March 16th is the 1/27 EIB award ceremony.
CSM Higgs asked me to attend. I was honored to.
A sea of legs and boots!
Coming back from a quick hello to the Wolfhounds recipients.
Mom? Are you hiding behind that pole?
CSM Higgs stops to make sure things are in order.
What's over there?
Tic, toc, tic, toc....
hurry up and wait. I'm getting good at that.
Playing of our national anthem.
I'm waiting with Mom since CSM Higgs needs two hands to pin the EIB on  the soldiers.
A closer look at the awardees - behind the flags.
(and a huddle?)
Off to congratulate my fellow Wolfhounds.
Photo op.

It's crowded out here.
What am I???
C'mon. I'm a dog.
The soldier on the left is a Russian man
 in the American army
doing a shaka (Hawaiian)
 while meeting a Russian dog
 who was born in Australia
and now in the American army
 in Hawai'i.
Small world.
Two work days in a row. I'm pooped.
This is where I spent the next day after a bath... in my bed.
Thanks for stopping by!

Much aloha,
Kolchak XVI
King of the Wolfhounds
